International Auto Show in New York

I have entered another contest and need everyone’s help!  If my car photo gets the most “likes” then I would be picked for an all expense paid trip to New York to photograph at the International Auto Show!  If you don’t know I grew up around cars and at the car shows.  I still won’t let people clean my car because….they don’t clean them how I was taught.  I helped my dad and his friends build a T-bucket, and I have been there when the car broke down and had to be towed to the nearest town.  I would love the opportunity to go to a show like this, especially to photograph at one.  Please follow the link below and “like” my photo!

Cathedral Reflection Image Sold!

I sold my very first print on Fine Art America!  The image is a reflection of the cathedral in a window of a cafe.  This image was taken when I was in New Orleans for the National Geographic Photography workshop.

I never would have thought to start looking in the windows and in different places for images if Tyron Turner had not told us to think of things like reflections and signs.  I immediately emailed Tyrone to let him know the amazing news but also to once again thank him for all that he taught us and his amazing support.  I never would have thought that someone as busy as he is would really take the time to continue and email the group months after the trip, but even to respond and be so excited for me and my sale!

Such amazing people have led me to this point in my life and I am forever grateful to them.  Thank you again to the buyer and all of those that have supported me through this process.

Site Organization

What is the best way to organize your site?  I have been moving around some of my galleries so that the list of “galleries” is shorter and things are easier to find.  The fist example of this is the new “places” gallery and the Savannah gallery under that.  I have several images for Philly about that are about ready to go up as well.  Is this the best idea or is there something better?

How d o you organize your site for your own photography?

I know the more information about each gallery the better, this always helps with SEO, but they can be divided so many different ways trying to determine which is best is difficult.  I have also found it’s very difficult to keep the home page updated with new things to keep returning visitors interested.  Without updating the home page users will have less reason to view further into your site.  I’ll keep researching some of the best practices and I’ll let you know what I find.
